Male strippers!!!

February 28, 2007 8:56 am

I was first going to title this post ‘Helena’s Happy Rezday’, but I figured more important things happened at the Paradise Lost club yesterday: we had a male stripper at the club!!! Yes, at the Paradise Lost / Sister Act where only girls are allowed to work! Where we dangle on our poles or shake our booty on the floor on Angi’s music and where we need to beg the customers to take something off if we want to see some male flesh.

Helena Kirkorian and pet on her rezdayThe whole grid was rather laggy yesterday, and I had major problems taking public transportation TP’ing to work, but the first thing I noticed when everything was - mostly - rezzed was this hawt male dancer. Finally! Helena had changed the club’s policy! As fantasies of large amounts of cute male Avies dropping from the sky started to fill my brain, and as I was trembling from excitement I didn’t notice Helena Kirkorian jumping in front of my camera the second I pressed the shutter button. Aaargh! Such a pity!!!

Just kidding! Happy Rezday, boss!!! Beaucoup de bisous virtuels! I hope your first rezday will not be the last one we get to celebrate together. And if you get ever tired of that pet… ;)

Snapshot Post-processing

February 27, 2007 12:28 pm

'Red' by Melodious SourceMedodious Source supplied me with this hawt selfportrait as a source file. (No pun intended! ;) It had everything going for it: great model, great color scheme, great composition, great angle, great clothes, … So it was rather a challenge to see if I could ‘tune’ it a bit, without ruining those already present qualities.

After saying ‘Hocus Pocus Photoshop’ and waving around a bit with my magic wand drawing pen it turned into this:

Maybe I’ve been a bit to enthousiastic and maybe I waved the drawing pen a bit to much. Dunno. Don’t care. Melodious still looks sexy. That’s the most important thing. ;)

Yard Sale Silhouette’s

10:53 am

Sometimes walking around in-world with your world view on the midnight setting gives you a whole other view on - second - life. This one I snapshotted at a yard sale, where three French ladies were very busy shopping and chatting.

Kisa’s ‘Bokeh!’ Tutorial

Bokeh! by Kisa Naumova
Bokeh! by Kisa Naumova

The lovely - and smart too! - Kisa Naumova proves that you don’t have to be completely sober to write a good Second Life photography tutorial about ‘Bokeh’.

Bokeh is derrived from the Japanese word for Blur - boke (ぼけ) - and is just another way to say ‘Out Of Focus / OOF’, ‘Short Depth of Field’ or ‘Lens Blur’.

I second the ‘Go! Go! Go, marching ants!’ ;)

Photoshoot with RightAsRain aka Me Goes Model

Although today’s photoshoot with RightAsRain was interesting and fun and I really love the results, I think I’m going to stick to ‘my side’ of the Second Life camera in the future. It’s not easy to try and do some snapshotting yourself if you have to mind where your eyes are going. ‘Look to the right a bit more, please.’ But he said I have a great figure!!! *giggles and blushes red*

All the pictures of me RightAsRain has posted to his Flickr account are great. And those not featuring me he has posted over the time too, btw. ;) From all those awesome photographs, these are my three favorites. Now I only have to beg, maybe tease and beg some more to get RightAsRain to tell me how he did what he did to the Paradise Lost’s dome.

And here are some I took during the shoot. That is, when RightAsRain wasn’t looking and I thus dared moving my eyes around. ;)

Prim, T-shirt, Model and Face

9:28 am

Hate Me T-shirt A quick update:

  1. I’ve put a new freebie on SLBoutique, my beloved ‘Hate Me’ T-shirt. First person I meet in-world wearing one of my freebies gets a huge kiss!* (* Offer only valid if your Avie is female. ;))

  2. I made something that consists of more then - which is a new record - 30 prims: a butt-ugly flexy prim skirt. But it doesn’t flex through my legs if I walk like the other did and Dra said that if I’m standing still and you zoom out it doesn’t look all that bad. Maybe I should just accept that I’m not good at making clothes: I can’t even attach a button to a shirt in first life. Nah! I’m just going to start studying the large collection of prim skirts I own in stead of trying to build one out of the blue. Although I do grasp the basics.

  3. Had a chat with JeanPaul Iwashi about the “Face” Egotainment Group. I’m an Eye. I like things that involve my ego. :D If you want to know more about it, IM him. Believe me, it’s interesting.

  4. First time on the other side of the ‘Second Life Camera’. RightAsRain was the photographer. He did try to get me naked (and partly succeeded at that) but did not rez any poseballs. There goes the myth that all male photographers try to get their female models into bed/unto the poseballs. ;) The results are expected any minute now.

Self at Bora Bora

February 25, 2007 5:47 am

Self at Bora Bora Hmm. It’s been a while that I walked around in just jeans and a bikini top. Time to make up for that! Now I only need a hawt belt so you can’t see my panties coming out anymore. :d Any suggestions? I have one full of cute little skulls and one giant skull IRL, but no 3D-scanner. ;)

The tropical botanique garden at Bora Bora is a pleasure to the eye, even if I’m hidden in it, lying somewhere between the beautiful plants. ;) Be sure to check it out and to put your Tree Mesh Detail to the max! (It’s in the advanced graphics tab in your preferences.)

Building Milestone and Free Clothes

February 24, 2007 4:54 pm

Today I’ve reached a milestone in my Second Life: I’ve build something that exists of 12 prims and doesn’t look all that bad. Yes, you may applaud! ;) And that does not even include my attempt at a prim skirt, which isn’t ready for public exposure. Yet.

So here it goes: in my skybox, a gift box was born today!

Gift Box Of course, as a gift box isn’t supposed to be empty, I decided to put it to good use and fill it with some free clothes. To dispense them, I’ve chosen slboutique.com, and you can get them for free at my page there.
Just get yourself an account at slboutique.com. You do need to link your avatar to the slboutique account, but that’s free of charge. You just need to rez a wallet in-world.

And while you are there anyway, just press the ‘freebies’ tab to get tons and tons of other freebies or items sold for 1 L$. I just love IRL Second Life shopping. That way I can get more clothes/hour then with in-world shopping! :D

Edit: Comments disabled on this post, because somehow it is just a magnet for spam.

Rose Rothlisberger

February 23, 2007 10:58 am

It doesn’t happen very often, that one finds a Neko that is willing to let herself being strapped. So thank you very much, lovely Rose, for being willing to model for me. No other Neko would have looked that great in a straitjacket! Actually, no other Neko looks that awesome. If you change your mind and are willing to accept some liters of frech creamy milk after all, let me know.
