Bimbo ft. Poet ft. Book ft. Second Life

In an interesting opinion piece about the tradition media and their love/hate relationship towards Second Life, Loki Popinjay mentions that Ilja Leonard Pfeijffer aka Linith Lunardi published a book - aren’t there almost more books on SL then sims in SL by now? - about Second Life. It’s written in Dutch, titled ‘Second Life, verhalen en reportages uit een tweede leven’ (Second Life, tales and reports from a second life) and it’s a collection of the pieces he wrote for nrc.next, a Dutch newspaper.
Ilja - somewhat fat, hairy and male in First Life - is Lilith Lunardi - a girl which is graced with a lot of boob and virtual sex appeal by the Linden Gods - in Second Life. The extra content - which you couldn’t read on nrc.next - exists of pictures/snasphots and a Second Life glossary.
As for the pictures, Loki has his doubts after looking at Lilith Lunardi’s Flickr stream (NSFW warning!) and I can only agree with him on the lack of quality of the pictures in that stream and their very limited ‘representability’ for the Second Life grid. I’m sorry, but I would not murder a single tree - not even derez a virtual one - to publish those. As for the glossary, there are multiple online, in English as wel as in Dutch.
Don’t you sometimes just wish the hype would be over by now? :p
Disclaimer: I was ‘definitely not a fan’ of Ilja Pfeiffer already when he was writing for Deng (RIP!!!), so my opinion might be a bit colored. :d

The hype is not over. The next wave will be even worse.
You and me know that second life looks better and mor exciting and fun than on those snapshots, but those boobs are quite enough to make hordes of noobs.
