This image of the Bletaverse blogg HUD does look rather simple, I have been tempted to get a blogg HUD anyhow, so I am sold (even if for free) to actually DO something about it now..

Thanks for the information :)

Hello again,

Bletaverse has one big focus: easyness. We will never have as much possibilities as a normal Blog, because a normal Blog is not easy. Sure, users like you and me might use a blog like wordpress easily and its fully normal for us. But i know hundrets of people who have much problems to understand programs like for example Windows, Word, and Second Life. They are fully lost in Blogs like
wordpress.

I love to offer the possibilities of computers to anyone. Bletaverse does not want to be an alternative to wordpress. Not now and not in future. EASY EASY EASY :D

thank you again for your oppinion.

PS Bletaverse is a phantasy name. Since we plan to make Bletaverse
also for every other Grids(Open Life, maybe there.com - who knows in future?) we dont want something with SL in name.
And i like it :P.

Best Regards

Hi Jan, maybe I did not make this clear enough in my blogpost, but I don't use either SL blog tool/service. I like long elaborate blogposts with links, edited pictures, ... and that's most easy to do from the web. For quick 'inworld' posts I prefer Veyron's ping.fm HUD (sends to my Facebook, Plurk, Delicious & Twitter via ping.fm).

I must admit that I never took the 'BlogHUD' blogs that serious, and I'm not that happy with them clogging The Planet (please, don't do that too!) But BlogHUD can be a great addition to people having 'full grown blogs' (be it self hosted, WP, LJ, ... ). I guess that goes for most of my readers, as I've never seen someone commenting here leaving a bloghud (or bletaverse) url behind for 'blog'. So this is my personal opinion, I'll link to your comment from the blogpost, you definitely have the right to 'answer'! ;)

As for the 'new', I know, did I not start my blogpost off with that? As a suggestion (besides cross-posting functionality to blogs & flickr) I still think it's a pity blogHUD is not 'Koinup compatible' or another interesting service to work with would be Myrl. (just thinking)

But 'great job!' on the translations though. We're to "English" centred all to often inSL.

PS. Why 'bletaverse'? In Dutch dialect 'bleiten'/'blèten' is the sound that goats make, and it's errr.. not a compliment if you say someone is doing so... . So sounds kinda funny for my ears! :D

Hi, this is Jan Maroon, the owner of Bletaverse. First i want to say, thank you for your open critique.

But although Bletaverse seems currently very similar to BlogHUD, its very different. Bletaverse should be available for everyone, which means everyone, regardless their age, knowledge or language. This is why we created the setup seats, and translated the text in many languages such as French, spanish, enlish, german, chinese, russian, bahasa, romanian, durch and many else. THis is our main target. We dont want that functionality like PRO blog HUD. We want it easy.

In addition we are very inworld driven. If you visit our place, we have put a lot of work in design and funtinality, and we also have live events with DJ Dazzle Bracken and live acts like Lance Windlow there.

You might also want to note, that BlogHUD is already 2 years old, we only 3 months.

I would be very happy if you visit me and talk to me inworld about your personal blog needs. I might be able to put this functionality into Bletaverse.

Best Regards
Jan Maroon
