Cannery keeping me busy.
December 1, 2007 12:55 pmYay! We did it: featured artists & theme photographs for A Different Light are chosen. Curious? Shoshana has listed them all. In the mean time, the Slart at the Cannery book from the previous show is back up on LuLu - without us changing files, so they did admit their mistake in silence?
I chinese volunteered myself for the ‘A Different Light’ book, and now Shoshana does not really like my cover design. *sobs* What do you guys think? Yes oder no? I like the eyes not being able to focus on the text. And think I did well at bringing the ‘light’ in the cover.
Anyway, if someone severely dislikes the book, when it’s finished I’ll put myself on damage enabled ground for 30 minutes and inform you timely. ;)
As for the inside, we’ll do it a bit different this time too. I would love to see included some more information on the artists, how they see Second Life and/or why they took exactly this photograph. Also - if the artists wishes so - contact information like an e-mail address and show-off information like a website will be provided. For curiosity reasons - again if the artist wishes so - also their human’s age, nationality an even name can be included.
Next time I’m in-world - I haven’t been much recently, I know - you wil be able to find me on Cannery grounds, setting up the WindLight chair and checking out the exhibition stuff.

You have been “tagged”!
Yay! Internet-chain letters. :d (But indeed, the Not-a-meme’s were a bit dead. Of course, this is a meme. Ow, and don’t grown up
peopleuse trackbacks or pingbacks to tag? ;)) Lemme think. I’ll do 4 Vint facts and 4 human facts. =)Pingbacks/trackbacks are one of the things I never figured out … feel free to explain that concept to this poor neko ;)
It’s easy. Really. I think I talked about it here (last item, ‘linkbacks’). Although, blogger does not support it. *grins* Didn’t I say ‘grown up blogs’? ;) ;) ;)
Sorry to say it Vint, i love all your work but as cover this isn’t prefect, or purrfect. The text doesn’t fit, I’m sorry to say, and on trackbacks, pingbacks that i really don’t like about blogger….
Bollger however is nice in other ways….
*sobs a bit* Everybody dislikes the fuzziness of the letters, whilst I heart it. Maybe I should change it, the problem is, I already based the theme and featured artists names on the inside on the same principle. (only black on white then)
So… I dunno… *starts to weep bitter tears*
While I see the problem with readability, I still like the idea a lot, as the fuzziness perfectly expresses the theme of “light”. It makes the book shine from the inside ;)
Indeed. Glow layer property of PS sucks! ;) And I like that the text is hard to focus on. But it seems we’re the only two with common sense here, Timothy! ;)
In the big version, the long one, in the banner it works much much better. I like that one :-)
*Hugs, and I’ll think abuot staying up really late…*
