Mature Woman Skins by Brazen Women (Photoshop Templates)
December 28, 2008 4:09 pmAfter my - highly amusing to some, highly frustrating to others - encounter with Miss/Mr Prokofy Neva yesterday, I am in dying need for positive things. Proof that there are residents that don’t just talk/troll, but that are doing constructive things that benefit the whole Second Life community rather than an old hag’s ego. Was I lucky, as I found out about Brazen Women’s ‘Mature Woman Skins’: “The Classic Lines skins were created from custom modifications to Eloh Eliot’s open source skin files. This line was designed to provide a range of ages for women, in a variety of skin tones, make-up colours, hair colours, and pubic hair styles.”
See, drawing wrinkles on any texture isn’t that easy as it seems! ;)
Beebo Brink, the creator of these ‘Mature Woman Skins’ stays loyal to Miss Eloh Eliot request to keep ‘derivatives’ of her Photoshop skin templates open for all to access & mod. Besides the ‘Mature Classic Line’ being available for purchase on OnRez and in-world, you can also find Beebo’s Photoshop files for your own further ‘modding’ pleasures at brazenwomen.com.

December 9, 2008 1:28 amWhilst Miss Eloh Eliot is busy making her Pleiades skin’s .psd - already available in Second Life at the Gnubie Store and her parcel in Lippert - ready for public consumption by many, and postponing release of those .psd’s bit, hoping this will counter abuse in shape of the ‘business in a box’ concepts, Miss Strawberry Holiday - Jennifer Burlingame to the humans - released the ‘Freckle’ skins: “Eloh Eliot did Second Life a huge favor a while back by releasing some very high quality skins into the world of Second Life. I made a skin based on these publicly available skins.”
Whilst she lost some of the Photoshop work she has done on these - sorry to hear that, Miss Holiday - Strawberry still offers us tons of possible combinations and options in the face skin template: star decorations, different make up styles, skin tones (if you know how to handle opacity and/or colour overlays), ugly and pretty teeth options, and most important: cute freckles! There are two different types of freckles, but of course, you can change the effect they have by playing around with layer opacity and blend modes. Look at two totally unique - almost opposite - results created in a few minutes time.
I really like how the ‘black’ one turned out, that much, that I consider changing virtual ethnicity for a while. Not sure yet if I can cope with living the virtual life without spots, though.
I’ve searched for a ‘copyright policy’ to no avail, so for the ease of mind, I’m assuming these ‘Free Freckle Skins’ - being a derivative -fall under the same ’share alike’ policy as Eloh Eliot’s skins. Thus, ladies, mod them, wear them, hate them, love them, … but you better be armed if someone catches you selling these skins! ;)
The Free Freckle Skins for Second Life by Strawberry Holiday are available in-world at Marawa to be found at Bay City Tanelorn (TP new TP or as a direct download .zip file from StrawberryHoliday.com. Make sure to take a look at Strawberry’s portfolio as this lady can do more than just pretty body textures, eg. the ‘Disconnect’ installation I enjoyed a few weeks ago. Free full perm ‘next gen’ Bikini Template

(Virtual) Ages ago I did a ‘bikini template’ for my ‘SL Bikini Project - Showing Second Life’s Citizen’s Diversity Through or In Bikini’s’. Although many downloaded the free template, not many bothered to show me what they created. :( Ah well…
Now Virtual Surfline is doing a bikini contest, and they needed a template… Hmmm. There is my old one available - with some info on how to use it, ty Kaeli!. And I made a totally new ‘next gen’ free bikini template that has shading - don’t mess with it - and less fabric and more room for nude skin! ;)
As usual, the template is created in Photoshop, but I’m sure it will open in The Gimp too. Also as usual, shading is based on Miss Eloh Eliot’s free skin templates. Rumours go I’ll do basic support - that does not contain ‘I want Photoshop, help me find a crack!’, btw - on the Bikini Template page, so if you have any questions regarding those templates, go there.
You find both templates at Miss Gweneth’s blogpost ‘Surfline’s Create Your Own Bikini Contest‘, a contest in which you can partake and win 1000L$. Hey, if you are going to create a bikini anyway, might as well show it off on the sunny Virtual Surfline beaches! ;) Oh, and let nothing, but really - nothing - stop you from adding a few prim details to your new bikini. Poseball Buttons Give-Away
February 16, 2008 8:29 pmThanks to Balp I now have 10 cute RL buttons made out of my poseball vector designs. 4 are promised to my human, 1 to her mom - she does not play Second Life, yet really liked the ‘endless possiblities’ one and we’ll inherit it anyway - and 5 poseball buttons I shall give away.
Of course, you did not think you could get them without at least some effort, right?
First you need to be willing to tell me where your human lives so my human may mail him or her the button. After she’s done that, of course, I’ll delete all your whereabouts information.
Second, you need to answer the question corresponding to the button number correctly here in the comments:

Free Eye Textures for SLove Related Purposes
February 11, 2008 5:34 pmAs I’m going to neglect making a vintfalken.com header relating Valentine - really, dating last year was a disaster - and I was busy with Second Life eye textures anyway, I decided to do ‘2 Free Eye Textures for Love Related Purposes‘. Both are released under CC non-commercial, no-derives, attribution license. Which means you may use and share them freely as long as you mention you got them from me, but that’s basically it.
You can get the eye textures from Flickr or get the textures and eyes themselves at my shop at Bloedkapel Bruges (correct SLURL this time).
VintLabs offers you 2 free Second Life eye textures:
- Free eye texture which reflects the roses just given to you. (blue eyes)
- Free eye texture with a heart shaped pupil, for endless ’staring in the eyes’. (green eyes)
Rotate head 90° to the CCW to see how these textures will look in Second Life.

These 12 free skin textures (each skin exists out of a head texture, a lower body texture and an upper body texture) are full perm, which means you can export them back to RL to play with them - and learn from that - in Photoshop. The way to do this:
- In Second Life, find the texture you want to copy to your hard drive and open the skin texture so that it shows on your screen.
- Make sure it’s selected: it should be in front and the frame is dark grey, not transparent.
- Go to the File menu and choose ’save texture as’.
- … the rest of the process should be familiar. ;)
These kind of notices - always interesting, always surprising, never expensive - is why this is a group I’d _never_ voluntarily leave. Hail to the leader Kilnara Balnarring! ;)

Nipplegate activism clothing (freebie)
August 31, 2007 7:29 amWell, after this post I did some thinking: I do really want to go Burning Life. But how to do that when I can not walk around with nipples in the PG areas. So I removed them from my breasts completely. It was a bit painfull, and I’m not sure it’s healing well, but at least I won’t offend anybody at Burning Life. *grins*
The whole package is copy, trans and the tat’s are full mod and you can fetch it from SLexchange for free or from somebody who has already gotten it from me in-world (Laetizia, Dandellion, …). There’s one standing at the entrance of my skybox too. Have fun! ;)
Free Coke and Clothes
May 28, 2007 1:13 pmI while ago Veyron, Wrath, Dalien and I went to the final Virtual Thirst party (Coke, contest, blablabla, … don’t tell me you didn’t hear about that one!) and it somewhere stated that you had to dress creative/appropriate. So.. euhm… well… Anyway, we had a good time, although I didn’t win the costume party. *sobs*
Was my Coke costume not sexy enough? Because I won’t believe it wasn’t hilarious enough! ;) Could it be? Is Wrath right and was I not Miss Popular? Or was it me constantly sipping from the bottle of Evian that is to blame for my loss? Anyway, as I’m probably never ever going to wear that outfit again, you can fetch it for free from SLboutique or SLExchange, find it as a freebie at my shop at Mardes, at my skybox at Scheherazade or at Zhivago hospital or use the MetaMart hud!
It includes a Coca-Cola dress (jacket and skirt), a double layered prim skirt, a necklace made from Coke Light bottle caps, a Coke purse/hand bag and a plastic bottle of refreshing Evian drinking water. All items are copy and non-trans.

… and my favorite scripter /scriptess (told you we’d be friends! ;)) …
… after something really odd happened to me.

Pink Paw’ed Neko Eyes
April 16, 2007 8:34 amPink ears, a pink fluffy part on my tail, pink spots on my skin, pink strappy boots on my feet paws and now also two pairs of pink eyes. I might have overdone it a bit on the flowered eye template, so I made a second one that has a cat’s paw as pupil. The eyes even look rather normal - yet pink - when viewed from far. *grins*
If you want a copy of my ‘vewwy vewwy vewwy pinkish’ eyes, you can fetch them - for free - at SLboutique, using the MetaMart shopping HUD, at the entrance of Club Paradise Lost or by just IM’ing me in-world.

PPS. What’s the actual difference between ‘pink’ and ‘magenta’? From an English language point of view, please. No CMYK on my grid! :p
