Vint goes Neko

Well, ‘going Neko’ has become trendy and fashionable, but who am I to say I won’t follow fashion? Especially when it seems like that’s the only way the hunt down a cute male Neko-avie. Ow yes, Andro looks cute as neko, but I want someone who can explain to me what all the ‘rowrs’, ‘purrrs’ and ‘yanks’ are about. I do am curious when Wrath is going to trade in his wings for ears and tail! ;)
Ow, and Ava posed a very good question: where actually does the word/idea/… ‘Neko’ originates from?! I figured it would be something like the books ‘Chronicles of Gor’ giving birth to ‘Gorean’. Hmmm. Wrong. Think again. Neko (ねこ) is Japanese for cat. That and Neko is also that awefully cute cat chasing your mouse cursor.
So what does a Neko need (according to Vint)?
- Purrrr-ing animations: check
- Sharp prim nails: check
- Ears: Elven ears. OMG! Must do something about that.
- A Luger gun: Must IM Miss Connolly in-world.
- Tail: Hmmm. Nope. *Puts a freebie penis on and rotates it so it sticks out on the back.* Horrible sight! Better buy me a tail too.
- Fur: The presence of hair on my skin is well… euhm.. rather limited. So I guess I need that too.
- Cute neko male avie on her side.
Ears andTails’s I’ve bought at … . Ow boy, I do have a lousy memory. But if anybody is interested: they are called ‘Anisa’s Neko Ears’ and ‘Anisa’s Neko Tail’ and have cost me about 900L$. (How do you notate Linden Dollars? Is it L$900, l$900, 900l$ or 900L$?) Both are scripted, although I don’t actually understand all the different positions of my ears yet. For instance what does ‘^(x_@)^’ mean and wherein does it differ from ‘^(^_^)^’. I must be sending out heaps of wrong signals with my ears at the moment. Luckily the tail does speak English in stead of Nekonese and I do get what ‘high flick’, ‘low swing’ and ‘eeek!!!’ mean. I guess I was in a Hello-Kitty-mood, as both the ears and the tail are now pink. *grins*
Finding a good skin was more difficult though. All places recommended to me were a bit to laggy and the skins Tiara so kindly send me where just a bit to orange. Poppin Popinjay came to the resque by sending me some demo recolorable neko-skin packages from Hybrid. I’ve chosen ‘**hybric** cc spots white’ as with that skin I can make my black dots all pink. *Rejoices* Didn’t succeed at arriving at Hybrid when it is not laggy, so at the moment I’m still walking around with ‘Demo’ written all over me. :(
As Myg reminded us all of Bandana Day, I dropped by at the hair fair and got myself a cute pink/black chess pattern bandana. Goes nice with the ears, no?
I’ve met some cute (and helpfull) neko males on my quest for ears, tail and skin, but none that would make me purrr. So, all applications are welcome in the comments below. Please do note:
- Tail size.
- Favorite ears position.
- Favorite hunting/playground.
- Snapshot ft. your neko-avie.
- Species/make/brand/breed/whatever. (No Leptailurusses, please!)
- Do you own your own basket?
- Do mention use of drugs like catnip, …
- Full cream, reduced milk or skim milk?
- Are you a night or day animal, and what timezone do you live in?
- Whatever else you think I could find useful knowing.
Checked with the boss and she says I do look cute and can come to work like this (without the ‘demo’ written all over me though). *Purrrs* :d
Wuf & Rose’s wireframed wedding

As the Linden Gods were against me on Thuersday night and all skin textures did either completely not or halfly rez, snapshotting in wireframe was the only option left besides not snapshotting at all. :(

So I dropped by at Little Philly to meet the nice version of Alexander Burgess, co-blogger Mygdala March, lovely-in-white-silks Vanny Richez, well-dressed Romana Wei and soon-to-be-silks-adept Sable. And I caged Torvalpac. *grins* (But had to be saved by Alexander in return.) I didn’t stay very long, but as I judge on looks, I’m sure they are all very nice persons! ;)

Veyron Supercharge is the ~SL’s Next Top Model and other modeling thingies

Maybe it’s a bit of wishful thinking from my part, but then again, I’m a fan! And just look at the lovely lady… that’s tilde SL top model material, allright?
Just to break through the miss/model cliché: did I mention Veyron can think in different time zones (maths!), did not offer me meta-sex in exchange for photographs (moral, scrupules!) and that she shot me (eye for beauty!)? ;)
This three pictures featuring Veyron Supercharge were taken for this week’s ~SLNTM Vampire Challenge.
Also the non-tilde SL’s Next Top Model is kicking off, accepting applications starting april 1. Just join the non-tilde group or IM Miss Millesimee Jezebel to receive the information notecard. For applying you’ll need at least a headshot and a portfolio that shows your diversity as a model. And apparently, SL top models don’t pose nude either. Bummer! ;) And the notecard doesn’t say ‘male avies can’t participate / woman only’, so I assume hawt males can enter too? This model contest is getting even more interesting! *grins*
A bit strange is that both the SLNTM and the ~SLNTM websites are still rather contentless. Well, the tilde one does have ads. *rolls with meta-eyes*
Meanwhile Ana Lutetia is very busy practicing her catwalk moves for becomming Miss SecondLive L’Oreal Paris Glamour. Good luck to you too, lady.
Besides, being an SL top model is not the only thing that requires great (meta)skill. Zoe gives an overview of some of the skills needed for being a SecondLive BDSM mistress: interviewing skills, time management skills and knowledge about disciplinary action. ;)
