Detroit Life: Mike E. Clark and Kevin Saunderson
May 16, 2007 10:26 am“Detroit music is a complete mistakeā¦like George Clinton and Kraftwerk stuck in an elevator.” D. May
Sounds like a party to me! So we went to ’see’ and ‘hear’ Kevin Saunderson and Mike Clark (Y’all remember Insane Clown Posse, right?) at the opening party for the Detroit Life sim. Let us just ignore the not-so- very-good- executed- welcoming- comitee (read: none) and the sound troubles in the beginning. The sim was full, the company was good and so was the music. The only thing what was lacking was Aux 88 live. :p
When waiting for the sim to open I quickly said ‘Hi’ to Babu Writer - who besides writing for the Avastar also keeps a blog herself - and handed out to her a Second Life Bloggers tag.
Woot! Another member! Our group is growing steadily. ;)
Other nice people that dropped by where Myg, Bella, Rejeanne and Josie. As in a full sim sitting down is the safest thing to do, we quickly claimed the bar table with the champagne as ‘our corner’.
I’ve also met someone who is a regular at Trash Palace and thus knows Andro. Silly me forgot to ask him about which girls from Trash Palace I should shoot. Well, I’ll do that another time.
I also saw my suspicion that streaming audio for Second Life isn’t as difficult as some ‘Hey, look, I’m a DJ’-peepz want to make it look confirmed as a simple Shoutcast plugin for Winamp will still do. Funny thing, though. How some things do not evolve at all. =d
Although snapshotting in a crowded sim is always a pain, as you can see, I managed to get some ‘party pics’ and there are more in the Flickr set. And if you want to see some huge party pleasure, look at them in full size. ;)

That is one clean looking Detroit… but, hey, I’m a DJ, and I like both Kraftwerk and George Clinton, where was I? hmmm… the pics look great, as usual, Vint, even if you had to shoot from a sitting position.
put your hands up for detroit , i love this city! * Fedde Le Grand *
* shakes he’s ass *
‘I love this city!’ => I thought that was ‘a noble city!’, when the song was just released. *still likes her version too*
And Alexander, I’ve send Myg an invite and told her to tell the others. But she said something about ‘do or dare’ and topless. =D
Proof Myg did know:
