Sezmra is GREAT! I’ve been a big fan of hers since I wore my first NORA skin in 2007. Great,great stuff. I’m betting some talented people will do some great things with these skins :)

I think what Sezmra is doing is great. A lot of talented people just don’t get around to doing skins because they don’t know where and how to start. Eloh’s were the first out in the open to give those less experienced with 3D texturing and skin in particular a chance. I struggled with it as well and actually ended up ripping an excisting skin just to get an example (never sold a skin in my life so stop shouting “abuse” or whatever). Seeing how it was done I made my own (from scratch) … looks like shit but I made it myself and I still use it … If in those days (almost two years ago now) Sezmra’s or Eloh’s had been around it would have saved me a lot of time and agony.

What a lovely article - thank you for contributing to the release and free-skin-resources talk!

I wish I could have made these skins like Eloh’s, in that the highlights and shadows were layers that could be adjusted. Unfortunately, it isn’t possible with these particular files. I was developing this as a product originally, to be sold, but I changed my mind after a few realizations.
I may revisit the idea with another offshoot of “Splendor” where the shadows and highlights are just layers and not hardbuilt into the image.
