Free texture upload service SLUP.JP (500 x Beta)

If you just occasionaly upload texturs, the 10L$/texture upload is not a big thing. But if you are a poor n00b - no offense - or have tons and tons of textures to upload, or even just a few for non-commercial experimenting reasons, the 10L$ fee for uploading textures to Second Life quickly starts to become annoying.
Be annoyed no more, as slup.jp - obviously derived from ‘Second Life Upload’ - has released it’s beta version for a free texture uploading service for Second Life. At the moment they are admitting 500 beta testers.
So, what do you get?
- You get to upload 20 free textures/month for now. (That’s a total of 200L$.)
- You may upload .jpg, .bmp and .gif images. SLUP.jpg does not mention .tga, but I’m going to test that later. It would be sad if alpha layers are not available for the texture upload.
- A nice Japanese interface with some English mixed inbetween. ;)
The texture upload service is currently free & sponsored by showing an ad once in a while: when uploading that is, not on your texture. Register for beta testing - and thus free texture uploads - on slup.jp here.

rats! I get an error when I try to join. something with my Name, but all it says is japanese…

Here it goes well. I got the activation IM and when clicking on that one it says registered (in Japanese).
Do you still get the IM and do things go wrong then, or before that? And what does it say about your name exactly?

Hmm, interesting, though:
A) It’s now on maintenance. :-S
B) It’s probably not available for the teen grid :-S

Peter, They will shows up adertisement each time you upload a texture. Not a free lunch, but some idea isn’t it?
Does it just use the standard compression to server through second life?
I got an error like Hazel when trying to register.

-Although it was the beta test version before, it is working formally.
