Lousy Virtual Investments: Atomics do it too!October 9, 2008 8:09 pmRemember how every atomic financial newspaper had a blast when our banks & stock exchange failed and the Second Life economy got a serious hit? ‘Second Life residents lost savings’, ‘Virtual economy is a scam’, … . I can’t recall if back then any of them wrote that this should serve as a warning for the humans. We could almost say ‘look who’s laughing now’, that is, if we were not highly depending on our humans’ financial statuses. Anyway, the conclusion is that our real life money is probably just as virtual and vapourish as those ‘Linden Dollars’ of which atomics always claim it has no real value. So, guess SL is a great ‘testing ground’ for - fairly important - RL stuff after all? Anyway, thought my virtual banking image needed a quick update:

I said months ago… close to a year in fact.. and im still quite proud that I was 100% right in the whole SL bank & stock market world..
A) it’s fantasy
B) when people make money on a risk, they never complain
C) when people lose money on a rish, they want to blame someone else.
D) SL fictional banks and stock marketing are just as much a fantasy as the real world US dollar, the banking system, and the economy….
It’s always run and created by people that base their goals out of conning other people out fo money. Inventing into a system simply because someone else says it’s the thing to do… to invest…..
Obviously everyone got the wrong impression…. For a year now I’ve always said the SL stock exchanges are fictional fantasy games where you’re paying the creator a high price to pay with a notion that you possibly could leave making a profit.
It’s all a joke, its all fantasy… RL wall street, and SL wall street
add GERMAN please.
a few days ago i recommended to my readers over at 2ndtravel, that they ought to get rid of their euros and exchange all they had into LINDENDOLLARS.
ain’t no BANKS here in SL, we should be SAFE!!!
[…] the mean while, Lindens communicated (!!!!) with AFP and said the real life recession is not influencing - which is probably Second Life’s trump card - our virtual […]
