Why do you care at all? You know what you are, that should be enough. I for once do not care at all what biological sex and age you have. Er, I don’t have to publish any “rectification,” as I’m providing a public service here, *asking a question* for which I’ve still not received an adequate and convincing answer.

So, uh, Prad, what do you call it when someone retains a dedicated harassment page publishing someone’s RL name and picture (oh, yeah, it’s available openly but it isn’t linked in SL, so linking it is abusive)?

What do YOU call someone attempting to constantly Google bomb someone’s search results with a page where they incite mobs to print falsehoods and obsess hysterically about “trolls” merely because…wait for it…I once failed to put Vint in my list of top blogs of SL? LOL. Really, you need to get a grip, and ask yourself if this concept of “trolling” has any meaning — except as exemplified in Vint’s own hateful, obsessive, incitement posts.

For someone like me who doesn’t know anything about all this stuff it is a very funny and surrealist conversation ! Someone tell that someone is a transgender. Update: So this is why she’s pissed. And article I wrote in defence of Benjamin Duranske when Prokofy Neva chose to attack his Benjamin’s RL persona that is ranking well on Google and titled Benjamin Duranske vs. Catherine Fitzpatrick. The irony is that it was supposed to help Benjamin’s reply to Prokofy’s accusations rank well. As Benjamin took down his article, I guess mine went up to first place. Well, it’s staying up, regardless which gender/sex that gets me.

Prok, also, don’t sweat it, only 80 (catherine fitzpatrick) + 20 (”catherine fitzpatrick”) persons searched for ‘catherine fitzpatrick’ and ended up on my blog since september 2007. Most of them did spend some time on that page, though. :D

It really is strange but I do believe Prok him/her self has gender and sexuality issues not to mention body image sensitivities. The florid aggressiveness combined with the paranoid sense that the entire world is out to get him/her confirms my hunch that this is a case of unchecked borderline personality disorder (http://pareidoliac.blogspot.com/2008/09/trolls-online-prokofy-neva.html).

Vint, I just wanted to say that I found your Benjamin Duranske vs. Catherine Fitzpatrick post useful as I was initially a little taken aback by Prokofy’s democratic agency on Twitter. One usually enters a social encounter with some assumption about the good intentions of the other party… good intentions or even good words seem rather alien to Prokofy.

In fact, I found the advice within the post spot on… that the best thing to do with a character like this is to realize that nothing personal is meant and that its more of a compulsive need for her/his own gratification.

I think it is useful to have multiple accounts of encounters individuals have with Prokofy online so that people may form their own opinions. Its rather remarkable though that on the whole far more negative opinions abound about this character than positive. Perhaps some conspiracy? Who knows.

Incidentally, thanks to your blog, I’ve gained a small taste of the goings on of Second Life… I’m not really an SL fan myself but I’m interested in virtual communities generally.

I don’t need any “gratification”. What I *do* need to do, however, is two simple things, because they’re right:

1. Protest against Pareidoliac’s tasteless and aggressively stupid misogynist icon on Twitter — and that’s more than fine to do, and many join me in that sentiment.

2. Protest against Pareidoliac’s cowardly continuation of harassment of me by posting my RL picture and name, which is done for aggressive, stalkery motivations — by this person who himself doesn’t publish his picture or RL name.

Those are noble goals; they are absolutely the right thing to do. They aren’t “trolling”; they are *doing the right thing* and fighting Internet thuggery. And I’ll keep fighting — and fighting shit like that isn’t “bile”; it’s a noble struggle, and in fact, there are a lot of people who support me. Even if there weren’t, it would be the right thing to do to protest the jackboot always coming down on the human face.

I could care less that some little tekkie fan groups like Vint’s are hysterically obsessed with my criticism and shrieking because they cannot ever bear to be criticised. Young people of this type on the Internet are appalling unprepared for life and terribly ill raised. No one should be allowing them to take over our worlds, as they are horrendously sectarian and oppressive. I found Prokofy’s page via Crap Mariner who was reviewed by Tina’s Universum (in Swedish), and was not entirely unimpressed by some of the thought process, but then she spoils the punch by spewing her/his poisonous point of view. I can’t relate to someone who can seriously choose to be a bastard… and that is her/his choice.

I think Prokofy also sees Vint as possibly “too thin” maybe because there is a stance..which Momus wrote about long ago before Prokofy started blogging about the bias of those who would not hire people based upon THINNESS.. If Prokofy wants to take a stance on Overweightness.. or Underweightness.. she/he should stop using these smoke screens as the cover for the real feelings she/he has..

And naturally since its a pot calling the kettle black issue concerning gender, she/he should just inspect herself carefully before requiring a “dna test” (OMG!!!)

Prokofy is just the voice of the reactionary, the voice that echoes establishment and has nothing to do with false flags such as age or wisdom or even experience nor even buisness savy.. nor does what she/he has to do with gender, nothing at all to do with an intelligence what so ever, it has something to do with causing reaction, its a reaction that doesn’t go away, but we can all diminish the voice of the troll by laughing, not being vicious, but just laughing and making it go away.

Why do I care about Vint’s gender? I don’t. Who could care? But I sense there’s an issue here for her/him. I find a very common pattern of people who harass me in SL is that they are manginas. They are conflicted about their own transgendering, and they obsess about me.

Vint has obsessed about my criticism of her and her blog since the beginning, in the typical inflated neuralgic hysteria of the SL youth.

In time, she’ll grow up and get a read job — and possibly a haircut, as well.

I find it very interesting that you accuse people of griefing you, yet you are doing just that by smearing people as best you can OUTSIDE of SL which is, honestly, the worst type of griefing.
