Reflections in Second Life
February 9, 2007 5:05 amUntil now, I haven’t seen anything that even comes close to a reflection in Second Life. Except maybe for the light the sun spreads over the ocean at sunset. I know it would make Second Life probably a bizillion times more heavy to run when such an feature would be added. Let alone that I have any clue how they should pull that off. On the other hand, I can still complain about the lack of reflection, can I not? ;)
I miss reflections though. I really do. They are great for adding a sence of depth to photographs, vagely showing a hint of some NSFW-content or for just enhancing the overall feeling of the photograph.
So no other option was left then to do an attempt at adding them myself. I’m not a genius as it comes to creating reflections, and I should have chosen a pose where all the body parts touching the floor are on the same level, and I should have shot a second photograph in-word to use as the reflection and I’m not happy about the butt-part and my right hand, but I still think it makes the photograph look better, or at least ‘more real’.
Should I continue my efforts and get better at this, or should I just face the truth and accept that I live in a world where I have no mirror image?
