RL computer becomes a home for Muratus LosangelesYesterday I stumbled over this build by Muratus Losangeles. It’s his new home, totals at 499 prims and has (real rotating) fans, a lot of slots, a CPU, some hard disks, …

Mr. Losangelus figures that as he lives his SecondLife from his home computer, he might as well live inside that same PC in SL. Nice way to show you accept you’re ‘only virtual’. ^^

But you did make me curious, Mr. Losangelus. What’s that other, longer story about SL and your computer?

Anyway, you can visit the computer build at the Toroge sim visit the computer at his new home. Do check it out, it’s kinda neat! ;)

Well, the longer story of why I did this Computer in SL, is cause SL paid for it!

When I started in SL, I was truly amazed that people were making money in it, and not just a few bucks. Some people are making their RL livings in SL! I decided then that if they could do that, I surely could make enough to build me a new high end computer, as mine was outdated and on it’s last legs. So that was the goal I set for myself.

I converted 50 USD in to Lindens to get started, a few months later, and allot time online buying, building, then selling. I ordered the parts, and built my “dream” computer.

The computer highlights are:
AMD Athlon X2 5200 Dual Core 64bit
4 gigs of PC6400 Ram
512mb Nvidia 7950gt Video Card
250gig SATA-II Hard Drive
Coolmax 700watt Green Power Power Supply
Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit

And I was also able to treat myself to a 22″ LCD widescreen monitor. Tell you what SL never looked so good.

I was actually just screwing around when I started the computer in SL, didn’t really plain on doing much with it. Then as most of my projects go, I got carried away and tried to reproduce my computer as close to the real thing as I could. I’d say it’s probably 95% accurate to the real thing, but sure was allot of fun building.

That’s quite amazing, Muratus. You should be very proud of yourself! And awesome that the money you earned from selling things in SL paid for your RL computer =)

Muratus evidently has done well after stealing all that land from unsuspecting (normal) SL users. Muratus is a predator like no other, and his mother has a bald pus-sy, yet Muratus ate the hair.
