When I started in SL, I was truly amazed that people were making money in it, and not just a few bucks. Some people are making their RL livings in SL! I decided then that if they could do that, I surely could make enough to build me a new high end computer, as mine was outdated and on it's last legs. So that was the goal I set for myself. I converted 50 USD in to Lindens to get started, a few months later, and allot time online buying, building, then selling. I ordered the parts, and built my "dream" computer. The computer highlights are: AMD Athlon X2 5200 Dual Core 64bit 4 gigs of PC6400 Ram 512mb Nvidia 7950gt Video Card 250gig SATA-II Hard Drive Coolmax 700watt Green Power Power Supply Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit And I was also able to treat myself to a 22" LCD widescreen monitor. Tell you what SL never looked so good. I was actually just screwing around when I started the computer in SL, didn't really plain on doing much with it. Then as most of my projects go, I got carried away and tried to reproduce my computer as close to the real thing as I could. I'd say it's probably 95% accurate to the real thing, but sure was allot of fun building. Well, the longer story of why I did this Computer in SL, is cause SL paid for it!
