  1. Virtual Worlds Timeline on Dipity - Timeline gathering the ‘milestones’ for virtual worlds. Birth (and end?) date of different virtual worlds, important corporate decisions, open source initiatives, … . Feel free to contribute, it appears.
  2. Reuters/Second Life - Linden Lab’s cloak and dagger job ad - I wonder, can you even get ‘The candidate must either have government security clearance or the ability to be cleared for government contracts/engagement ‘ when you confess having a second life? ;)
  3. Warcraft Players are Living in a Communist State - This is of the most-prodigious mysteries of the gamer soul; They let us cast off our mundane existence and become a colorful, empowered hero. And what do we do with this second life? We behave like obedient workers in a Soviet collective outside Stalingrad, circa 1971. Comrade, your job is to collect potatoes. For seven years. We pay $20 a month for this privilege. Read up unto the last sentence! Really! :p
  4. What makes you ‘you’? - An interesting experiment about what defines an avatar. Is just exchanging shapes enough? And skins? And hair? And when do you become the ‘other’. Kewl!
