Smiley Barry - Meet me There! - Smiley went on a spy mission to There. It seems they have stolen our Windlight - now that’s where it’s gone! - and even added collision sensitive rain and snow. *sobs*
The SLFeed isn’t beta - I’ve been using the beta for some time. It is just pre-release until I add it to the Drupal contribution CVS. It works just fine. :-)
@Vint & Dandellion: Yeppers, they had it about 3 and a half years before us (2004!) :-/. I have an old test zone at There if anyone wants to sign up to see it for real.
Oo, forgot to say: Their “Ripple Water” option is also there, and it’s a bit faster than ours ‘^_^. Plus their physics engine is much better :O (especially for vehicles)
Oooo, one thing about voice — in There it’s Premium-members only X.X (i’m an old one). Plus, their premium membership is US$10 one-time! I just payed US$50 that time ’cause I wanted to buy T$ with it and get 12,000T$ extra :p.
Warning though: Once you’re in the world, select There -> Customize -> World -> Forcefield if it’s unmarked. Griefers hide in the bushes for new basic members o.o.
Oh they just… Run over newbies with hoverbikes, hoverbacios, hoverbuggies, hoverboards, basically, everything. (And no, there ARE normal vehicles: Buggies :p)
Luckily for them, basic members can’t give/receive money/items so they can’t beg for stuff from us! xD
Now that would be something interesting, in stead of comparing ‘business oppertunities’ in the metaverse, comparing ‘griefing methods’ in all different 3D worlds. ;)
Dandellion, nah. I’m a mixture of both, and I prefer WindLight too. I think the main thing here is that they first gave it to us, and then took it away again. Which is awefully mean. Evil, evil, Linden Gods!

There stole the WindLight? They should steal Voice too :)
There might be nice, but until there’s a Linux version, I’ll echo Gertrude Stein: there’s no there there.

Dandellion, maybe we can do an exchange? (And I think they had voice before we had it. ;))
Nobody: Changed.
Nope. I am not going There. SL spoiled me. Even with all the lag, bugs and what not, I don’t see myself in 3D consumerist’s MySpace. User-generated-content is what makes this world interesting to me.

What do griefers do there? Same sh*t as here or they invented something new?
Dandellion, we take hostage their voice and exchange that for our WindLight. Not going there either. God knows I can’t handle a Third / There Life. =)
Hide in the bushes => I think we have the Pantera’s for that. *grins*

Thinking of which, maybe it is me romantic immersionist, but I would always want beautiful sky more than blingtards talking around.
Run over: that’s the best you can do? ;)

*Nod*, but with llGetURLAddressOnPrim thingies you can have your login IDs snatched! :-O
