Rabbit Droppings - Only 3 postings and made it to the blogroll. Somehow reminds me of Wrath. The less civilised version, I think.
Official Linden Blog - Blog Archive Keeping Second Life Safe, Together - … and other depictions of sexual violence including rape … extreme or graphic violence … - Rape is illegal now and we might as well turn in our guns and blood textures too. It seems Second Life is not a first person shooter anymore. Pfff.
Yeah, um, Camron? I dig your graphics a lot, but just looking at what you allude to, I’d say you also have things to worry about from Daniel Linden. I’d go back and read what he said carefully. IMHO it’s ridiculously broad and opens the door to some real Orwellian nightmare scenarios.
3. What a weird blog post from the Lindens. Almost as if they were just throwing out the idea to see what the initial reaction would be. When they say “our community has made it clear to us” I’d like to know when the community made it clear (was there a town meeting I missed, or an open letter I didn’t sign?) and of the 100 comments their blog post allows, I just wouldn’t get that impression at all. Just seems like something big is coming - with their vague blog posts and pending restrictive age verification requirements, etc. Just really bums me that they seem to be spending so much time with politics and not enough mention of how they are fixing lag issues, for example. They won’t have a community left to complain about broadly offensive activities if the community can’t log in or move around SL.
4. Reflections are kind of cool - I still haven’t gotten used to seeing the sunlight reflecting off the roof of my house - and I didn’t even know my roof was shiny to begin with!! Although, Windlight still doesn’t really work on my PC - I no longer have clouds and I can’t seem to get the different times of day to cycle - it’s always noon now for me. Oh, and my normal viewer doesn’t seem to load these days, so I’m stuck with the FirstLook viewer. But I won’t bother contacting Linden for support - they are busy 24/7 hunting down broadly offensive acts.
2. That’s one cool dude, alright. :-)

3. A good addition in my opinion, though I am seriously pissed at peoples comments.
Well, you won’t like mine either, then. ;)

Alex: Congratz on being the one that posted comment #1000 on this blog. That and the comment actually makes sense! ;)
