Second Life web resources for October 10th 2007 through October 11th 2007
October 11, 2007 4:30 pm- Current TV UK - Current Issue - Toxic Villages - Where do our computers and gadgets end up when retired? On a huge pile in someone else’s garden, it seems. Glad it’s not your garden? Well, it still does not seem very fair.
- MindBlizzard blog - Cry Havok - Veejay testing Havok 4 physics. Cute. Really! :p
- Bella in Second Life - What Is Your Energy? - Bella March explored the Enel sim, interesting find: On the beachhouse you can get an energy drink that really boosts your energy. It pays you 1L$ as long as you stay on the sim and carry the drink with you. That’s a very fresh alternative to camping.
- New World Notes - The Electric Sheep launch more user-friendly Second Life viewer - Good write up from Hamlet Au about the Sheep’s alternative SL viewer. Now let’s postpone the rest of the writing until we actually got to test it? =d
- The Risk of Doing Business in Beta - Metaversed.com - Be warned! ;) Especially interesting is the discussion of when something is a LSL hack and when it’s a feature, as there is little to no ‘official’ documentation on LSL.
- Free Stand Alone LSL Editor and Help Files - Second Life Conceptual Creations - Must be handy for avatars who have humans that can script: Alphons van der Heijden has written an LSL editor that you can use from your desktop without having to be connected to Second Life to write, test, and compile your coding
