SL bloggers, meet your ‘writers’, ‘topics’ and ‘host blogs’.
November 2, 2008 9:20 pm
We (Mr. ArminasX and Miss Vint) are proud, utterly delighted and immensely honoured that so many of the Second Life Bloggers - more than 50 - chose to participate in the 1st one and only SL Bloggers Mix’n Match event. I’m sure they are all dying to know their blog subjects and ‘host’ blogs, so without further ado, The SLbloggers Mix’n Match Results. Neat no? You will notice that Dusan Writer gets no SLex, but SL Fashion and the famous ‘Mistress Strangelove’ Tiessa will be writing on vintfalken.com. I need to ponder on ‘Creator vs Consumer’ for Her Royal Highness, Princess Ivory’s blog. And so much other great combinations that else would probably never have happened. We feel a bit like proud parents! ;) But now, if you’re on the list, what do you do?
1. Write your blogpost.
Check on the .pdf which we emailed you what you’ll be writing about and for whom. Write an well-researched, incredibly funny and kick-ass blogpost that exists of a maximum of 1000 and a minimum of 500 words. There should be at least one matching snapshot/illustration/graph/… included. Make sure those are ’safe for work’! ;) You will email both to your ‘blog host’, the person that will be publishing the article before Sunday November 9th 2008.
2. Publish the blogpost
All blogpost should be published on Wednesday November 12th*, the format for that:
- Introduction by ‘blog host’. (optional)
- Blogpost & pictures. Style at will.
- Author name. (+ link to his/her blog)
- Person who suggested the subject. (+ link to his/her blog)
- Link to the blog where your blogpost will appear. (optional)
- Link to the person who will blog the subject you suggested. (optional)
* Most blog platforms allow you to ‘pre schedule’ blogpost, so you can’t forget to publish it. Of course we will also send out an email reminder to you.
3. Let Vint & ArminasX know
Drop Vint & ArminasX an email once you’ve published the post, that way they can include it in their overview list (Vint’s overview list will be here.) It would be the nice thing to do to notify your ‘writer’ also!
No trading topics or blogs!
No trading topics or blogs! Period.
Arbitrage
If there is any confusedness, or if you and your ‘assigned writer’, or you and your ‘blog host’ don’t get along, we are more than willing to be the impartial persons you can complain to. You know our emails. (But you should first try to solve this as mature adults. Except maybe for Ann Otoole & Tiyuk Quellmalz whom will be writing about Second Life generated drama! ;))
So who’s happy with/extremely excited about their (mix and) ‘matches’? ;)
