SLelections: … more candidates for Governor of Second Life

June 21, 2007 6:17 am

V Rulezz !!Let us take a look at Véronique Kaminski’s candidacy. She is the first to address the issues concerning resident Ruth: ‘Put Ruth in quarantine until it is proven that she is not contagious anymore.‘ At the Grid Democracy Party’s HQ we think that’s a great plan of action to stop the Ruthed decease, so we are considering giving Kaminski a place in the Falken Administration. Another brilliant idea - that of course candidate Falken thought of first, but forgot to formulate - is one to make sure the Lindens do their job properly: ‘A Linden (preferably the cutest one) will be held (hostage) in protective custody on the premises of our New Palace until his brothers in crime complete this task.‘ As we also like candidate Kaminski’s idea about restricting camping chairs to limited places and with a minimum pay out of L$50/10mins and the idea that Andromega Volare will be put in the same cell (or in permanent orbit; depending feasibility), together with Ruth, until he learns to stay with the same girl for more then 5 seconds, Véronique Kaminsky can consider herself hired once we are in Office. =d

SL Election Poster - Vote Khamudy as EmperorNext new candiate is Khamudy Mannonen, also known as the Second Life weather anchor: ‘In the Spring Period, the Metaverse was hedged by enemies and plunged into chaos. Greedy officials retreated into hiding, natural disasters rocked the land and the people suffered. Finally so many stranded and disaffected people rose and demanded change. The Metaverse was shocked, the court packed, Emperor Philip-Di listened and did nothing.‘ Although he thinks the title of ‘Governor’ does not suffice and is in the running for that of ‘Emperor’, his platform contains a few interesting ideas such as bling taxation to fund grid stability work, land reform, severe and effective punishment for criminals. Candidate Mannonen is also expresses his concern about the grid’s economy and has a solid plan for it’s future: ‘The new reign will be marked by a new census to accurately show the actual active population of the realm - allowing businesses and content creators better idea of the operating scale of SL.’

Candidate Samantha Pointdexter wonders if there are candidates interested in holding an open debate between the candidates (or some of the candiates) on SLelectins, SLpolitics and SLfuture. If interested, let your PR department contact hers.

Taking care of the children… healthcare… Ikea desks…

… yawn … yawn … yawn…. Boooooring !!!

thanks for offering, but no, thanks Vint… your strategy to integrate my group into the Grey & Dull Party doesnt sound that appealing to me. (In fact I suspect that you only want to take advantage of my popularity to attract some extra 3 million votes)

…on the other hand, if you are prepared to subscribe to my “8 steps to happiness” program, I might consider appointing you to a minister post (there is a left-over, I had one in mind for MKK, but she doesnt seem to be interested). After all, I acknowledge that you have some talents that might be usefull.

Véronique for Governor !

Well, after the Slelections, don’t come begging that Grey & Dull Party for a job. And we’ll make sure you don’t get social welfare either!

Ladies - please, lets not squabble here…

I can assure you that under the soon to be installed Flintoff administration in Second Life (which will immediately be renamed “Flintoffonia”) I shall secure many of the current candidates key roles in my new Government. Vint - you’re clearly in line for the position of “Minister in charge of playing with children”. Veronique - looks to be well suited for a diplomatic posting - her effective use of the yawn as a public statement by a candidate is quite unique.

Candidate Khamundy will not have a position however; I don’t know how to pronounce his name and his hat is silly.

Dear Miss Falken,

There is absolutely no reason to overreact like this.

My offer was pure friendly and based on the assumption that we have a lot of similar objectives in our political agenda. You even affirm this on your forum.

Therefore, and taking in consideration that there are already sharks and vultures circling around - waiting to pick up the remains of our possible fight (>see miss Flintoffs comment, a real scavenger she is..) , I propose that we form a kind of cartel.
This way we both (especially you) will have a better chance to reach our objectives, and at the same time we can take advantage of the situation and introduce a beautifull Belgian tradition into SL.

After our electoral victory, we can determine amongst ourselfs who will actually occupy the Governors seat. I propose that this will be based on the amount of preferential votes each of us will receive, but again, I think it is better to have these discussions in a closed meeting, and not in the open on this forum.

awaiting your promt answer,
yours sincerely

Veronique Kaminski

‘… his hat is silly’. Yes, the Grid Democracy Party did not mention this as we are a bit weary on judging people on looks.

Maybe we should consider a Triumvirate?

Of course, all these plans will fall by the wayside under the Evans Administration…since we have our planned last-minute campaign push coming, featuring Campaign Manager Danielle Ferguson: “Vote for Erbo Or I Orbit You.” :-)
