The bright side of Second Life

Just ignore the whole Ginko case - but do consider buying some fashionable clothes to help Saur recover. Try to live with - and adjust to - the crazy Linden logic. Just take a deep breath when - again - we read in the RL press we, the residents of Second Life - are all obsessed with SLex. All set?
Now IM a random person out of your friend list. Ask them what they can do. Build? Script? Fashion design? Great skins? Organise events? …? All to often, they can do at least one of the above. And they do it because they love to create original, quality virtual goods.
An all to often we look at all the negative stuff, but - hell! - we have a great collection of creative, friendly, helpful Residents on both grids. Either that, or I was just very lucky with the avatar’s I have met up to now. But it doesn’t hurt, to sometimes, look at the bright side of Second Life! ;)

i find it so hypocrite that people think sl is only about sex, i mean my first virtual sex experience was in world of warcraft (done in im) and i know there was some in other games before that.
slex is a natural part of anyone virtual live. we have to share with people and feelings will grow and i agree sl is not only for sex it barely is.
how much time have the people spent to creat content, to make it even look realistic, countless hours i’m sure. all that time just so 2 people (or more) can show their love and passion for each other for like an hour tops.
its important to see the journey not only the destination
for me I can build, do animations, make movies, host, i can do some clothes too and do descriptive chat. slex is a part of my second life but it is in no way representative of what i do.
you people sadden me why on earth would you spend hundreds of dollars on a game? life is beautiful! this is an arrangement of pixels nothing more! And hell if you stay addicted to having sex in SL lord knows how you’re ever gonna get laid in RL. :P
@astartes: who is talking about spending “hundreds of dollars on a game” or being addicted to SLex (apart from ill informed RL media)? If you don’t like SL, what are you doing here? Just walk away, or at least read Vint’s post properly!

As you say, Vint, SL is like RL, or maybe is we are the same in both sides, life(s) is(are) beautiful, we make them beautiful, let’s enjoy them.
@astartes: you say life is beautiful because it has higher resolution. for now. we’re working on it. stay tuned. :)
