The Irony: Philip Linden’s Hairdon’t

June 27, 2007 7:38 am

Up to now, I blamed the photographers. Or the Second Life client. And the graphic cards. But after seeing him ‘in person avatar’ at SL4B I now realise: Philip Linden’s hair is butt ugly. Yes, I know, it is not prim hair. So it will never actually end up in his butt. But it’s still ugly as hell. So, as the Second Life community, let us all help Phil, shall we? Do you have free hair coupons? Send them to Philip! Do own have a prim hair shop? Do invite Phil over! If you do not have any of those, you can still just rezz him a plywood box to hide his head in…

Now, I gave it a shot to look at which new hairstyle would suit Philip Linden best. What do you think? (click it for a bigger version)

The Irony of our Second Life's: Philip Linden's Hairdon't

If you do not like my suggestion, or think you can do better, feel free to experiment with Philip Linden’s hairdon’t yourself. You can use any of these two pictures of Philip Linden below. For the make over, I myself used a free account at makeoversolutions.com, but there are tons of other sites and programs that let you experiment with hair and make up on a photograph.

Gaa, almost anything would look better. I’m not a fan of the sideburns either. There are people that do complete makeovers in Second Life. I think that is the only solution.

The writing about Philip’s avatar is in “unfinished” folder for weeks now. It is a phenomenon for itself :D Maybe I should type those letters down one of these nights.

Dandellion: Please, do!
Nock: Hmmm. I think even 1-prim-hair would strongly ameliorate his looks. =d

Vint: you mean the cube on the head would look better ??
(oh you mean there are *other* types of prims rather than cubes ?) :-)

Yes, a cylinder or a sphere would be fine too. *grins*

mmm…. Nock, I think that somehow you raised an interesting question,.. with a scary answer…
Are the Lindens reserved about to use too many prims because they are not fully trusting their product?
Or are they aware of so many bugs and instability issues that they are confident that one more extra prim will disturb the subtle balance and throw SL in a Mega Abyss??

Me, like every year I am waiting for the first swallows to announce the spring, I will be on the look-out for the first spottings of a Linden with decent hair. It will be the herald of a Bright New Second Life…

In the meantime… give the guy a wig !!

Gezz all of you, instead of praise him for giving us this new World, you let yourself out over his Look. He is still the ONE, and so he may do what he pleases and I will accept what ever Look he will be taking on and I will stlll faint if he comes to me .

Prase Philip Linden
