I think my computer just felt this coming. I didn’t even install the 1.15.0 client yet, I was only trying to boot Mr. Deng (my desktop computer) but he refused to react. Disconnected the PCI IDE controller and thus also my old (estimated year of birth: 2000, maybe 1999) very much cherished - it’s contents that is - 80GB ATI HD makes that things sort of less work again. :/

Now let’s see what the 1.15 viewer brings. It’s obligatory, but they haven’t fixed the X600-problem yet, so probably the music I heard at the PL yesterday evening will be last thing I’ve heard in SL for a very long time to come.

If you meet me in-world and I tell you I’m ‘on Castro’ (the laptop) - or not very likely ‘on Mao’ (650Mhz) or ‘on CodeRed’ (800Mhz) - that means I can’t do anything with ease. Surely not snapshotting, flying, building and all other things that require a clear view of things and a short reaction time. :(

Update: Installed (after numerous attempts) new drivers for my graphics card. Vacuum cleaned the fans. Now if only that download would starts. 56k modem nostalgia is NOT a good thing.

Update: Got the the part that I’m supposed to accept the TOS. Only: it’s not loaded yet. Did they change anything to it? *dinner time*

Update: I wonder, if something goes wrong, isn’t that _always_ unexpected? Because if you know something will go wrong, you just won’t do it? But maybe LL doesn’t think that way.
