Vincent: the drama

Ok. I’ve been a bad girl. In stead of doing some stuff for Robbie I’ve spend way to much time with Vincent. *blushes* It started out as good fun when shopping for Neko ears and he was very good company, until we were about to say our goodbyes for the evening.
Somehow the words ‘Baghdad’, ‘patrolling’ and ’streets’ made my ears perk and accusing him of being just as arrogant as the nation he represents there. The only excuses I have for saying that is that 1.He actually was arrogant, 2. I can’t stand people lecturing me about WWII and 3. It was after a two hour discussion and being told about the USA’s supreme reign and the futility of European nations (a lot)². On top of that poor Wrath who was online too got the full load from me. Which by the way, he handled very well by often saying ‘Yes, Vint, you’re right’. ^^
Luckily nobody got shot that evening as we found out earlier that both my Luger and Socom were refusing all services in the Scheherazade sim and so did his gun (no pun intended) .
I _just_ don’t get it. I get along fine with Dralathan. And I <heart> a good discussion. But this one was just totally useless. I just wish that I would not have known about all this. That he was still just a hansom avie with a very good taste for clothing and guns, a gorgeous skin, awfully cute hair and soon neko ears too.
The next day we both apologized. We still IM. And we’ll probably still go and fetch those neko ears. And he even learned some Flemish words. But still. Dunno. :(

Hmm…yeah there’s nothing like a polarizing idealogical discussion to really drive people apart. =(
Hmmmm… I know.. funny how a dose of reality changes things.. its a balancing act for sure.. =/
Okay, if what you REALLY wanted was a hot political argument, it sounds like you got one. Kind of a waste of a date, if you ask me. You have an opinion. He has an opinion. They don’t match. Either get over it, or, if it’s really important to find someone who agrees with you, move on.
I am Canadian, my sweetheart Josie is American with a military background. Our opinions often conflict. We have been together in SL over 18 months, that’s like forever for online relationships.
How have we managed to get along for so long?
1) Never talk politics.
2) If the other person breaks rule number 1, see rule number 1.
and if those rules fail you (and they will), remember,
when you argue with your lover:
1) if you win, you lose.
2) time spent arguing is time that you could be having sex.
You have an opinion. He has an opinion. They don’t match. => Yeah. You can say that. :D
*wonders if his skin, shape, hair, tats, … are all transferable* :D
I hear you, Vint. For me, when it comes to love and politics, it just doesn’t work if we’re not on the same end of the spectrum. The attraction fades fast.
