Suge, if I remember correctly, this is a 'known' bug and it can be found on Torley's wiki somewhere. If it includes a solution too, I don't know. (They did talk about this in the comments somewhere, but I don't recall where.)

Windlight doesn't work for everyone. You must need the perfect combination of drivers and window's updates for it to function correctly. The first time I tried it, it worked great.

I'm using duel Nvidia 8800 gtx cards, 4 gig's ocz pc 8500 ram, Dule stata raptor 10,000 rpm hard drives. Intel Core 2 Duo, Dual Core EXTREME X6800 LGA 775 2.96 GHz, 4MB 1066FSB. Creative X-FI elite pro sound card and a 22"Wide Screen View Sonic monitor. In a nut shell I got a dream machine.

So I recently had some weird driver issues causing my other games like Crysis and Battlefield 2142 to crash. I Just wiped, reformatted and partitioned my drives. I'm using windows Vista. Got ALL the latest driver updates, downloaded windlight again and it doesn't work like its supposed to AT ALL. Now I get the same issues as all my friends have been getting. Objects with shiny look transparent. Objects with glow do not glow. The water and sky look just like regular crappy SL. If I wasn't making money is Secondlife, I wouldn't play it at all due to very poor graphic quality, and piss poor net code. Windlight when it was working made it some what playable. Its still a "Far Cry" Short of the games I'm used to playing ;)

Anyways does anyone know of a solution to this issue? Or do I gotta screw up my pc in such a way that only Windlight works and all my other games crash? LOL someone please comment if you have any ideas...Thanks.

This new WindLight thingie is so good for regular photographers/users (like me), it makes an otherwise normal picture look just beautiful.

It's soo good to see someone who knows what they're doing really pushing it! Terrific work Vint.

And yes transferrable settings will be great.. thanks for sharing those above.

Cheers
